On Sunday All is about We Love

THE ONLY WEEKLY FEST LIVING ONE OF ITS MOST VIBRANT SEASONS

Without any doubt WE LOVE is one of the most interesting projects taking place on the island of Ibiza each summer. A project which has become point of reference, and even a milestone in the global electronic music industry in the last 15 years, always in constant evolution with an exclusively musical DNA alien to all marketing principles. WE LOVE has significantly contributed to importing the most innovative sounds into Spain allowing us to enjoy them at the hands of some of the great artist which already form part of electronic music history.

With six rooms opened simultaneously from 16:30, WE LOVE is not only a perfect frame from which to listen to high quality beats but also an ideal place to drink a gin-tonic or a glass of champagne whilst watching the sun set at the rhythm of downtempo melodies in the Premier Ètage.

WE LOVE SPACE began its 2010 Ibizan season on the 13th of June with an extraordinary party. Assisting were among many others Carl Craig, Audiofly, Martin Buttrich and Mat Playford. Worth mentioning was Alfredo´s DJ-set who together with percussionist Ian C, rocked the dance floor with the unique atmosphere, so typical of the Sunset Terrace. The club was absolutely full on the opening and once again on its second date with the 2010 Ibiza debut of Groove Armada. The British duet offered us a dazzling performance in what was the first of the three DJ-sets they have programmed for WE LOVE this season, one of which will coincide with WE LOVE´s anniversary on the 15th of August, date in which they will present their live “Black Light Spectacular Show”. The 3rd WE LOVE festival on the 27th of June included spectacular appearances from Jeff Mills, an explosive live set by Minilogue, Paul Woolford, Joris Voorn and the stylish Smokin Jo.

“The season is working out well, above all expectations and beating last years records, which considering the actual economic situation makes us very happy allowing us to guarantee a fabulous year. We have an amazing line-up for 2010. Unique and innovative sounds brought by both our residents and guests, key element to remain as the only weekly festival celebrated in Ibiza and be the greatest musical expositor in the Playa d´en Bossa area each Sunday” said WE LOVE chief director Mark Broadbent.

Absolutely brilliant music and cool atmosphere, which will continue until the 26 of September at Space Ibiza. 3 months ahead and with many interesting dates with incredible DJ top-liners, some of whom are usual guests in WE LOVE but always bringing in surprising sets, like Steve Lawler and Paul Woolford, but also break-through debuts like Jem Haynes and Steve Aoki. Heidi, 2ManyDJs, Hot Chip, Simian Mobile Disco and Miss Kittin are other popular artists typical in our line-ups and a party without comparison in what is still considered the World´s clubbing Mecca: Ibiza.

WE LOVE IT!!
Kehakuma has already consolidated itself as Wednesdays night’s musical reference at Space Ibiza with its extraordinary sets, projections, decoration and oriental thematic set-up brought by our amazing animation team who has already caused thousands of people to drop by and enjoy the state-of-the-art sets and live acts by the hands of great artist like François K, Steve Bug, Martinez, Secret Cinema & Egbert (live), Glimpse (live), Arian, Arado, Nick Curly, Jamie Jones, Johnny D, Ray Okpara (live), Guy Gerber, 2000 and One, SIS (live), Alex Celler & Anthea, Edu Imbernon, Seth Troxler, Lauhaus, Julien Chaptal, Lee Curtis, Matthew Dekay on top of our residents Valentin Huedo y Fran Sanchez.

In the Red Box, hosted by FACT, we were able to witness some of the finest underground beats brought by the hand of Jordi Angulo and the great Anthony Collins, renowned French DJ, famous for his extraordinary productions. But the best was still to come in the Discoteca, where the thousands of people were startled by the overwhelming and spectacular stage, with led-tech base lighting and various heights, which gave scene to the show brought by the more than 50 gogo dancers full of elegance, sophistication and amazing dress-ups. Miss Davilota introduced Amanda Lepore, host of the event, who through her show demonstrated why she is the most famous transsexual in the World.

The audience gave in to the amazing music brought by Rafa Ariza, Pablo Kopanos and Danny Leblack. The greatest moment of the night came at the hands of the extraordinary Diva and one of the best voices in House music, the legendary Jocelyn Brown, who granted us with some of her greatest hits, making the audience craze and sing along choruses like “Keep on Jumping” or “Believe”. Straight after stepping on to the stage was the beautiful Patrizze, one of the greatest break-through vocalists in Spain, who captivated the audience with her voice and impressive appearance, best of all is that she will be join us every Saturday as Live Vocalist of Café Olé.

Unfortunately, due to the French air strike resident DJ´s Liz & Baker were stuck in Argelia, where they had played the night before, likewise, Bibiana Fernandez was also stuck in Madrid.
Summarising, Café Olé´s first event of the season was a great success with more fascinating acts awaiting for next Saturday night, where we will be able to enjoy the magic brought by this amazing party, which surely promises to be one of the greatest events of the Ibizan summer.
Next week, be prepared as Café Olé brings you Super Star DJ Jesús Luz and Fragma´s live act among many other pleasant surprises. Hosting once again will be the great Amanda Lepore, who is Café Olé face for 2010.
