Ibiza presumes to have the best music programming in the world, although not all artists are easily to be seen in the island. There is some resistance from those who prefer to ignore the Ibiza scene and maintain its exclusivity. Proof of this is the lack of presence Modeselektor has had in Ibiza, one of the most important duos of the global electronic music industry, not to mention the peculiar artistic union between them and the versatile Siriusmo.

The guys from Siriusmodeselektor, which is the name of their new project, have a background inspired on the post fall of the Berlin wall period and the consequent explosion of freedom. Speaking clearly, it comes from the real underground frame of the German capital and rarely have been performing in cities like Ibiza. This gathering of unpronounceable names and the eclectic fusion of talents will arrive to Space Ibiza in exclusive this summer. Siriusmodeselektor presents its show for the first time on the White Island, even before Sonar, the advanced music festival that will turn Barcelona into the epicenter of the industry during this intense week.

Its members have performed in modern art museums like the Parisian Pompidou, run several record labels like Monkeytown, they are also part of different musical projects and their artistic interests prevail over their bank account. So, why Ibiza?

The creative concept of Symmetry party, the history of the most awarded club in the world and the best sound system by Funktion One have convinced Siriusmodeselektor to do what they really like: experiment and inspire everyone with their unique music art at Space Ibiza.

Moritz Friedrich is Siriusmo, designer, graffiti artist and musician who prefers to lock himself in the studio rather than playing live. On the other hand, Sebastian Szary and Gernot Bronsert are Modeselektor. They have performed at the most remote stages of the world and persuaded Moritz to get involved in the international 'Auf Achse Tour 2015' under the name of Siriusmodeselektor. The icing on the cake will be brought by Pfadfinderei, whose visuals will bring even more value to this inspiring project. The regular contributor to the group will ensure a hypnotic show.

The Madrilenian Pional, artistic partner of John Talabot and producer for important international labels such as Hivern Discs, Permanent Vacation and Young Turks, and Job Jobse, Life and Death's label manager, will also join the inspiring initiative of Symmetry.

Thursday June 18th will be the only opportunity to see the best of the Berlin subculture in Ibiza. Filix, Marco Yanes b2b Rickzor & Rumme will also join this Ibizan adventure with Siriusmodeselektor.

Second night in for Luciano and his Vagabundos crew last night at Space Ibiza. After a triumphant opening on June 7th, the Cadenza man brought to the Platja d’en Bossa club a first class lineup to fill the rooms of the venue. The season is getting into full mode, and the crowds lining up outside Space were just another proof of how the Vagabundos parties are creating a huge buzz on the Island.

Swiss DJ and Producer Marlowe (formerly of Digitaline) and Ibiza resident Andy Baxter graced the Sunset Room with their blend of deep melodies and relaxed grooves, with the people coming in early to enjoy a more laid back atmosphere before bouncing into the craziness of the other rooms. Jose Maria Ramon and Valentin Huedo closed off the line up in this room playing a fine selection of loose beats and tribal inspired tracks.

Techno maestro Carl Craig took over the Main Room with his Detroit Love concept: the Planet E man recently remixed Mirko Loko’s Kolor track on Cadenza Records, reaching Beatport’s Top Ten and establishing once more his stance as one of the Motor City’s finest musical exports. Jackathon’s lady and BBC Radio 1 host Heidi delivered her trademark mix of classic House and underground Techno, with Jimmy Edgar on top form playing a truly eclectic selection of stylish and abstract tunes, a reminiscence of his Ultramajic project, where he fuses music, design, contemporary arts into a holistic multi-sensory experience.

Parisian Molly warmed up the Vagabundos Room (Space Ibiza Terrace) with a set including some of her most known tracks released on labels such as Rekids and Street Knowledge, while Martin Buttrich’s pumping Live Set switched gears and got the crowd in the right mood for the night: the Grammy award nominated artist and studio wizard spared no energy on his performance, flipping and puncturing grooves, entrancing the audience with his after dark sounds (a proof of his incredibly skilful abilities in navigating the spectrum of audible – and inaudible - frequencies).

The Cadenza boss took the stage still buzzing from the previous week’s festivities, showing no sign of resting on laurels: with the first show gaining enthusiastic reviews from the Ibiza and international press, Luciano pushed his set to new heights, with a selection ranging from tribal Techno to sleazy Tech House, a whirlwind of Latin rhythms and staccato basslines, in true “South America Meets Kraftwerk” style, leaving the crowds cheering and wanting for more.

Carl Craig announces a new home in Ibiza for Detroit Love, hosting four Sundays in the Main Room this summer.

 “I am excited to bring the Detroit Love tour and music to Space Ibiza. We have had really good dates on the tour so far and the responses have been astounding. I have learned that people love Detroit and I love that the potential I have seen in Detroit for the last 30 years is finally being recognized. Electronic music shouldn't be underestimated.” 

‘Detroit Love’ is a new concept from Carl Craig, designed to bring together and support the sounds of Detroit and take a little of the techno brotherhood to clubs and festivals the world over.  Craig brings the residency to Space Ibiza, the venue where he first DJd on the island.

“My first time playing in Ibiza was at Space, I think it was 2008. For years it was a situation where my agent was trying to convince me to come over and do Ibiza, but I didn’t think it was my scene. Finally I agreed to come and I played the Discoteca at Space for We Love, and it was great. I think it was cool because I played these tunes that would have been Ibiza staples, but a lot of people wouldn't have played them - like Donna Summer 'I Feel Love' kind of pushed it. I also played for Space’s 25^th birthday last year and that was a magical and standout show with crazy production.”

A known futurist, Craig said on his hopes for the future of Detroit and its music:

“I would like to see Detroit become a major metropolis again in the United States and that the nightlife would take some cues from Berlin. I would like to see crime lower and I would like to see more young kids making techno music.” 

The opening party on 14^th June, sees Carl Craig joined by one of Detroit’s brightest rising stars, Jimmy Edgar, alongside one of the biggest fans of Detroit artists and music, Heidi. The rest of the dates will bring artists including UR’s Mad Mike Banks – who will play keys over Carl Craig’s moog infused 4-cd-deck special set, the legendary Moritz Von Oswald, Robert Hood, Derrick May y Moodymann. Detroit Love will host the Discoteca of Space alongside Luciano’s Vagabundos on the Space Terrace.

Luciano presents the official line-up for the first season of Vagabundos at Space Ibiza. More than 60 artists will provide personality to the most awaited event of Ibiza from Sunday 7th June to 27th September.

Cadenza leader will welcome many international DJs in the Terrace of the Playa d'en Bossa club. The German duo Âme (DJ Set), Audiofly, the powerful Ben Sims, French dOP (Live), veteran Josh Wink, Kenny Glasgow (Art Department), Berghain resident Len Faki, tribal rhythms by Livio & Roby, Berlin sound by Martin Buttrich, DJ Sneak and American master Stacey Pullen, are just a few examples of the top-artistic quality of Vagabundos.

Luciano will play along many great talents of his label and agency Aether Artists such as Argy, Cesar Merveille, Dandy Jack, Eduardo De La Calle, Ernesto Ferreyra, Ezikiel, Felipe Valenzuela, Franco Cinelli, Gianni Callipari, Julietta, Michel Cleis and Valentino Kanzyani.

The Main Room will be controlled by Detroit Love, Carl Craig’s primary music concept, on 14th June, 12nd July, 9th August and 6th September. The visionary and eminence of Techno will rub shoulders with the defenders of his sound.  Mad Mike Banks (Live), Derrick May, Heidi, Jimmy Edgar, Moodymann and Robert Hood, among others, will showcase their love for the iconic and historic scene of Detroit.

Additionally, promoters Next Wave Ibiza and the best club in Italy, Cocoricò, will join the ranks of Vagabundos army too.

Kehakuma announces the full line-up for their 17 dates this season. A total of 27 names will represent the best of the global electronic elite on Saturdays in the Terrace at Space Ibiza.

The program draws from influential artists such as Berliner Claptone, the French trio dOP (live), Martin Buttrich (live), Radio Slave and Reboot. Representing the growing national scene will be resident of Kehakuma Javi Bora, Pional, the duo Los Suruba with their classic musical orgy, Edu Imbernon and Balearic sound propellers Tania Vulcano and Jose de Divina.

Darius Syrossian, Santé and Sidney Charles will be presented together in the DJ cabin by a triple b2b while Tiefschwarz accompanied by the voice of Khan, will share one of the most anticipated live performances of the year.

Pachanga Boys, Barem, the great Roman Flügel, Patrice Bäumel, Dauwd, Canadian Blond:ish, Gui Boratto (live), Danny Daze, Kölsch (DJ set), queen of electroclash Miss Kittin and Michael Mayer complete this excellent line-up. Additional special guests will be announced soon.

The announcement of these artists reaffirm the careful direction of sound by Kehakuma, that bets once more on DJs referenced for their quality and musical innovation in the electronic music scene.

The Kehakuma– elrow season starts on Saturday, June 6^th. The singermornings invade the Main Room captained by Ida Engberg, Los Suruba, Patrick Topping, Marc Maya and De la Swing. Barcelonian brand Ker, will take over the Sunset Area with Boris Werner, Alex Pott b2b Ion Pananides, meanwhile in Kehakuma, Darius Syrossian, Santé and Sidney Charles will give strong emotions in the legendary Terrace with a triple back to back set. Behind them, Tania Vulcano b2b Jose de Divina will continue the party to lead clubbers until dawn with a set that promises to be unforgettable.

Symmetry returns for a second consecutive year to share its extraordinary vision of electronic music through two conceptually harmonic events that will demonstrate its clear commitment featuring the most exquisite sound of today’s alternative scene.

Exclusively for Space Ibiza, Siriusmodeselektor, the strong artistic union between Siriusmo and Modeselektor, will headline the first Symmetry party of the season next Thursday, June 18^th. The different models of shades, manufactured by the American brand Surreal Sunglasses, will be available in various colors to match all the styles, have a personalized packaging, and stand out thanks to its frame made of bamboo wood and its high protection polarized lenses.

Surreal Sunglasses is a brand created in New Jersey in 2013 under the motto “Dare to stand out”. Their Sunglasses, genuine and colorful, are truly made to impress. This year they are looking for a major step in their international expansion, so that was the perfect timing to start a collaboration with a worldwide renown club, Space Ibiza, enabling the brand to reach millions of persons around the world.

Oriol Gonzalez, Surreal Sunglasses Europe manager, explains the great opportunity that this agreement represents for its brand: “For us it’s a great challenge to design and produce a collection for Space Ibiza, place of worship of dance music and worldwide recognition. A tradition is a belief or behavior passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past. In the case of Ibiza and the clubber culture, one in particular stands out: the Space Opening Fiesta. A celebration with 26 years of history, known to all as the opening that kicks-off the party season in Ibiza.

On Sunday, May 31st at 4:30 PM, Space Ibiza will open its doors to welcome thousands of people who arrive to the White Island with the same goal, to dance together in one of the most anticipated parties of the year. The dance halls of the club at Playa d'en Bossa will be equipped with Funktion One and Pioneer DJ sound systems, in addition to professional lighting managed by Martin, all of which are operating at full capacity to meet the demands of the best audience in the world.

As always, the Flight Club, which is one of the most impressive areas of Space Ibiza, will be set up. This large outdoor area will be sponsored by Red Bull, hosting a stage, production and entertainment special for the occasion. The club will also have the support of one of the most powerful and prestigious festivals in the world. Ultra Music Festival will take over the Main Room, carrying their values to the Main Room of Space Ibiza.

The world's most significant electronic music magazine, DJ Mag, will take over the legendary covered Terrace ensuring a night full of entertainment and good music. On the other hand, elrow Ibiza will occupy the Sunset Terrace contributing with a touch of the madness that characterizes them. Also open El Salón and the Primere Étage, the outdoor area located on the top floor, completing a total of 6 rooms.

37 artists will be responsible for putting on the soundtrack to the 2015 Space Opening Fiesta. Luciano, who also has a residency at Vagabundos in Space Ibiza every Sunday from June 7th to September 27th, heads a full lineup of great DJs. Cadenza boss will have two sessions: he will be responsible for closing the Flight Club and continue at dawn on the Terrace. London duo Groove Armada (DJ Set) is another highlight, their unique style and exquisite musical selection never leaves anyone disappointed. The veteran Sasha, one of the living legends of electronic music, will also be present. We are certain that the Englishman will delight the audience with his latest summer hit release, "Ether". There will also be artists such as Technasia and Pleasurekraft performing back to back, Elio Riso, Blackhall and Bookless and DJ Mykris. Plenty of Spanish talent, such as Coyu, Los Suruba, Edu Imbernon, Wally Lopez, David Moreno, Igor Marijuan, Vallès, Coolmachines, Jonathan Tena, Juan Gomez, Aphotek and YanM!kale. Representing the the Cadenza label, Michel Cleis and Ernesto Ferreyra B2B Cesar Merveille; and to close-out the Main Room Santé B2B Sidney Charles B2B Darius Syrossian.

On the other hand, elrow Ibiza will stay true to the sound that distinguishes them thanks to its team of residents De La Swing, Toni Varga, Marc Maya and Mario Biani B2B George Privatti. Nor could the event miss having their regulars Marco Loco, Mr.Doris, Paul Reynolds, Ramon Castells and of course, the resident of Space Ibiza, Javi Bora, who will spin back to back with one of the most veteran DJs of Ibiza, Jose de Divina.

Overseen by Glitterbox Creative Director, Mark Herman, this year brings new creative elements to the event including the artist, TradeMark, who designed the season’s artwork, whilst masterminding the performance side, club collective “Savage” will consist of three different dance crews (Sink The Pink, Hot Heels & Nutbags) who will all bring their own unique energy to the night.

TradeMark, aka UK artist, Mark Wardel, is the renowned painter whose figurative work explores the interface between art, commerce, and desire. After finishing art school, he became known as the “court painter” of the Blitz and other London café society hang outs, producing portraits of Boy George, Steve Strange, and Japan’s David Sylvian. Wardel’s artworks are in the collections of Kanye West and Naomi Campbell, and his work has been featured in GQ Style, Dazed and Confused, iD, and beyond. In 2013, he produced a sell-out edition of 300 Bowie-silver Duke life mask sculptures for the V&A museum, as part of the David Bowie Is exhibition, of which Bowie himself purchased two.

“Savage” is produced by East Creative Agency, the team behind some of London’s most outrageous club nights and events – including Sink The Pink and XOYO’s Gloria’s. They’ll be bringing their East London performers, choreographers, and costume designers to Glitterbox, bringing the finest dancers, drag queens and club kids together to celebrate fashion, decadence, self-expression and hedonism - all to the best soundtrack on the island. Jono Kitchens of Hot Heels will choreograph performances, with costumes designed by Jay Barry Mathews.

Glitterbox’s opening party takes place on Friday 12 June, featuring Todd Terry, Joey Negro, Horse Meat Disco, The Revenge and Simon Dunmore, joined by unique performers from dance crews hosted by “Savage”. Further details will be announced soon.
