Over the years he has amassed quite a collection of awards and prestige. He has been nominated as the best national DJ by the Spanish Vicious Magazine many times, he was awarded by Deejaymag as the Best Ibiza Resident in 2010 and he was recently betowed the title of the Colombian resident DJ abroad by the Colombian Dance Awards.

Also known for his collaborations and his work as a producer with artists of the likes of David Penn or René Amesz, Camilo Franco has released on many different labels such as Toolroom Records, Hotfingers, Nervous Records or Urbana Recordings. On Sunday 5th June Do Not Sleep will commence its 16-week summer residency at Sundays at Space by hosting the world famous terrace for 12 weeks and 4 weeks inside the sonically perfect ‘Discoteca’.

The newly hatched and burgeoning club brand Do Not Sleep has quickly established itself as one of Ibiza’s fastest growing major players. This year you will findit on every Sunday at Space running side by side with "Sundays at Space" plus a special event to celebrate the 27th Birthday.

This new residency at arguably the worlds most respected club will allow them to bring their high octane atmosphere and unique vibe each week. This new opportunity to take part in Space’s final year came from the success and reputation of the previous seasons events. Do Not Sleep were invited to host the terrace to celebrate their finale, with only a few days to promote it the party sold out instantly and the hype across the island was unprecedented.

‘We had one week to promote the party, it sold out instantly and the buzz across the island was unreal’ said Do Not Sleep promoter Neil Evans. ‘The atmosphere and energy we had seen over the season was transported to the Space Terrace without a glitch… we are going to be able to recreate this every week in the coming season’ states co- promoter Chris Bones.

Its not just their vibe that is impressive it is also their vision. In a new era where the VIP ethos begins to dominate club culture Do Not Sleep reacts against this and simply pays homage to the best Techno and House music DJs. Keeping a firm philosophy of a no frills, no nonsense and a non conformist party.

Musically it’s all about the specially invited guests and residents. The Do Not Sleep curators have put together an unmissable line up of ever changing artists and talent as well as headline name residents - Line up details to be announced shortly.

This year has already shaped up nicely with a London show at studio 338 last week and their newly launched Do Not Sleep record label and radio show. With a UK & European warm up tour also about to drop, bouncing parties from Berlin to Barcelona, as well as major festivals appearances. Its clear that they are in a strong position to make a mark on this season already.

The return of ‘Sundays at Space’

Sundays at Space Opening Party - Sunday June 5th

square_SAS.png

Since 1999 Sundays at Space have always retained the same ethic of love and togetherness, showcasing the world’s most exciting electronic music talent - through day and night.  From early post-Home lineups that featured ground breaking DJ’s such as Carl Cox, John Digweed, Pete Tong, and Steve Lawler to the introduction of long standing institution We Love… that with its collective tenure forged unforgettable Sunset Terrace memories up until 2014.

As Space marks its 27th Anniversary this season, hosting a series of events all with a nostalgic nod to the past, yet rooted in the present. The new ‘Sundays at Space’ will replace the previously announced ‘We Love Space’ and will undoubtedly continue to enforce why this venue has proudly earned its position as one of the world’s most celebrated and loved clubbing destinations.

As the club approaches its ultimate summer, Owner and Founder of Space Pepe Roselló comments:

“Happy times, gone but not forgotten... Beauty will always remain in the memory".

Pepe goes on to say: "I am aware of the passionate remarks occurring across social media and thank you all for your comments. This season we strive to celebrate nothing but happy memories so to do that in the right way and to include all the Sundays since the very beginning of Space, the night will now be called Sundays at Space”
