WE LOVE ... JULY Featured

We love a month with five Sundays and that, dear We Lovers, is what July 2012 has prepared for us. Five hot summer nights full of aural gifts of our loyal friends, family, and new signings. Take a look at the line-ups, choose your favorite and book these flights!

July 1st
July 1st marks a return for established regulars Groove Armada (DJ set) and their distinctive decks 'n' visual fx show on the Terraza. International DJ gigolo DJ Hell performs his cosmically inclined take on dark electronica and Pier Bucci brings his folk-laden hispanic house. Smokin' Jo displays her always on-point experience and resident Ryan O'Gorman is joined by percussionist Ian C.

In the Discoteca, San Fransiscan Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke headlines ahead of British proponents of future bass, Ben UFO and Cosmin TRG. The acid tinged Crow Castle Cuts of Luv*Jam is going back to back with resident Jem Haynes to get things started.

On the Sunset Terrace, Rob Roar and Jason Bye bring the arm-raising early vibes. As the room goes After Dark, Mr Doris welcomes nu-jazz production kollektiv Jazzanova for a debut Ibiza performance. They will be complemented by the heavy-balearic sound of David Phillips. Manchester is representing in El Salón in the form of Folk Café. Beard-in-chief Justin Parkinson is joined by Neil Atkins and Dan English. On the Premier Etage, it's an audience with the veterans featuring Alfredo and Andy Carroll with Ben Korbel taking things until dawn.

July 8th
Those great guys from Ghent, 2manydjs take their collection of everything from prog-rock to techno to We Love Space on July 8th. There's furry friend themed electronica in support with performances from The 2 Bears and The Mole. Consummate professionals Smokin' Jo and Ryan O Gorman complete the Terraza lineup. In the Discoteca it's a blend of classicist techno and its new movements in the form of Derrick May following on from Paul Woolford meeting Untold for an innovative back-to-back session. The Hot Chip DJs make a switch from their usual Terraza to display their harder edged sounds. Jem Haynes back-to-back with Luv*Jam get things heated in another vs. set.

The ever-present infectious enthusiasm of Moda boys Jaymo & Andy George will be lighting up the early evening on the Sunset Terrace alongside resident Jason Bye. Mr Doris and his After Dark soiree welcome a lynchpin of the NY party scene for over a decade - Nickodemus. Expect an intersection of urban and traditional rhythms from the world over. It's Kelly Love's Love Lounge in El Salón where she is joined by the omnipresent Bones, Simon "Mogga" Morell and Mudlove. Expect everything from dub-plates to balearic classics with Andy Carroll and Alfredo on the Premier Etage with Ian Blevins playing from midnight until close.

July 15th
The Innvervisions crew return to We Love Space on July 15th for their second of four exclusive shows this summer. Musical savant Dixon performs along with the Âme live show. There's also a rare appearance for Poker Flat boss Steve Bug and the colours of Caribbean dancehall and hip hop channelled through hands of house with Aquarius Heaven. Summer resident Ryan O'Gorman completes the room's lineup. In the Discoteca, Chew The Fat! present Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke alongside a French Swiss collaboration of Deetron vs. Oxia. Residents Foamo and Jem Haynes fill the gaps and round up the main room.

On the Sunset Terrace it's a welcome return for prolific live remixer Funkagenda, whose star has seen a phenomenal rise since he first graced the We Love decks in 2009. He'll be joined by the ever-present Jason Bye and his early evening house music schooling. After Dark and Mr Doris and Andy Carroll welcome the dub-fi roots reggae of Earl Gateshead (Trojan Soundsystem), expect unheard gems and mic shout-outs. No matter what di people say, these sounds lead di way. The delightful judgment behind the decks of Tirk Records is on display in El Salón where Dicky Trisco is joined by label chiefs Matty J and Ben Terry. On the Premier Etage, it's the Heritage DJ Project with Alfredo and Jaime Fiorito with Ian Blevins taking things until the break of dawn.

July 22th
The Discoteca welcomes Carl Craig to the table on July 22nd. Detroit's finest musical export appears in addition to Dutchman Joris Voorn whose sets have grown to mythic proportion over recent We Love seasons. The techy Swiss sounds of Deetron are up after the sweet beats of seasoned campaigner Ryan O'Gorman. On the Terraza it's a return for the delectable melodies of Miss Kittin, a true original and unique musical force. She's joined by something of a Leeds triptych with residents PBR Streetgang and Paul Woolford being joined by 2020Vision honcho Ralph Lawson.

It's arm-raising summer sounds on the Sunset Terrace with Jonathan Ulysses banding together with resident percussionist Ian C. 'After Dark' Mr Doris welcomes two long-term collaborators and Ibiza veterans in the form of DJ E.A.S.E and Negghead both of Wax On fame. It's another gym session in El Salón with the Feel My Bicep boys pumping with David Phillips and Kitt Proudfoot. On the Premier Etage it's the old hand adeptness of Alfredo and Andy Carroll with Callum playing on from midnight until close.

July 29th
The Terraza session for July 29th is set to be an event of epic proportion with two huge headliners vying for the plaudits. James Zabiela goes up against Groove Armada with the former being one of the few who can match the latter for sheer energy and gusto. There's support from two North American live acts - state-of-the-art trance from Blonde's of Brooklyn and the slo-mo deep disco of Canada's The Mole. Resident Jozif rounds up the room's enormous lineup. In the Discoteca meanwhile it's a Detroit techno affair with Derrick May, Octave One and their all machine live setup. French main-room stalwart Technasia is set to get things moving after resident Jem Haynes displays his own techno chops.

It's an all residents affair on the Sunset Terrace for the evening session with Jason Bye joined by Mat Playford and percussionist Ian C. After midnight Mr Doris' After Dark project is presenting live DJ/MC duo The Correspondents with Mr Bruce's vocals depicting the trials of love, lust and loss, it's set to be something out of the ordinary. In El Salón the Tirk Records crew return presenting ambassador for soul, Dr Bob Jones. Regulars Ben Terry and Matty J are also in attendance. Up on the Premier Etage, Alfredo and Andy Carroll are joined by Ben Korbel who takes the treasured midnight until close slot.
