Big celebrations for the Vagabundos family last night at Space Ibiza: Luciano and his troop moved into our club’s Main Room, for a welcome change in the season that’s gonna take things to the next level for the Cadenza man’s Sunday residency.

Same concept, of course, but with plenty of decorations, colours and set ups that sent the fans crazy, adding some extra excitement to the whole show: a sea of red lights and hats hanging from the ceiling matched the sexiness of the dancers and the sleaziness of the Vagabundos characters. A bohemian gipsy whirlwind of music and LEDs created the perfect combo for the perfect party to kickstart the night in grand style.

Luciano’s set was one of his best this summer so far: the original Vagabundo brought down the Main Room with a selection of tracks that blew everyone away, speeding up the tempo to a higher BPM rate for the people on the dance floor to lose themselves into. Closing off his set, his ‘7Direction’ tune in collaboration with dOP’s singer JAW: an instant classic already with its playfully kinky synth line and deep vocals’ mesmerizing vibe. Lookout for its release in September, ‘cause this is gonna be a hot one.

Bass Culture’s boss D’Julz played a funky and energetic Tech House set combining rapid, choppy acoustic percussive sounds with a bizarre heady atmosphere which suited the vibe of the Main Room 100%, a testament to his more than a decade experience behind the decks at Rex Club in Paris.

Michel Cleis’s penchant for creating summer hits struck again in 2015: his Marvinello track co-produced with Klement Bonelli has already been described by Mixmag as “The Track Of The Summer”: taking inspiration from an old Marvin Gaye song, its absolute catchiness makes it a total dance floor monster. Sir Pete Tong himself gave this massive airplay last year, creating a huge buzz for it. The track is out now on Rebirth…. Grab it and you won’t regret it.

A very special guest in the Sunset Room last night: Spanish analogue maestro Eduardo De La Calle played a rare gig on the Island, and it was quite a highly anticipated one. The Analog Solutions label owner is enjoying a terrific time these days: with a list of releases that go from Octopus Recordings to NonPlus Records, including an upcoming stunning EP on Cadenza, the Cadiz resident is having his music supported by the likes of Dixon right now, showcasing his multi faceted talents, and another proof of his unrelenting studio time schedule. Not many producers can release so much quality music and still stay true to themselves: Eduardo is one of a kind, a true genius in his own right, uncompromising and loyal to his underground Techno roots.

Cadenza’s young gun and Nordstern resident Gianni Callipari was also on the bill in the Sunset Room: his hypnotic selection was full of deep touches and melodic hooks, his trademark DJ taste fitting nicely in the mood of the venue.

¡We turn years! Come and celebrate the Space Ibiza 26th Anniversary next Sunday 26th July with Erick Morillo, M.A.N.D.Y., Josh Wink, Luciano and much more artists. Buy your tickets and do not miss one of the most awaited events of this summer.
