Cadenza Vagabundos is swinging into high gear, and last night at Space Ibiza was a bomb one!

Luciano’s summer gig schedule is as full as ever, and the Cadenza man played two massive events on Saturday: Love Family Park’s 20th anniversary was a huge celebration of music and freedom, and the party in Italy on the same night proved to be a great success for everyone. With a smile on his face, Luciano was on fire in the Vagabundos room: mixing everything from Jazz inspired House to some Minimal Tribal stuff, he delivered one of his most inspired sets so far this season. One for the knowledgeable crowds that was, a dedication to his most passionate fans who share his love for sophisticated sounds, closing off his 3 hours with an excerpt from his mammoth tune ‘Timeless Song For Lovers Of The Morning Enlightenment’ (the original version lasting close to 60 minutes).

And sophisticated was the key of the night for the Vagabundos lads: the talented pianist cum Techno virtuoso Francesco Tristano graced the crowd with a superb Live Set of ethereal melodies and sounds, taking in most of his acclaimed tracks he has released on the likes of Planet E, Innervisions, CLR and Visionquest. Nice to see the description he gives of himself on his Facebook page is “piano in space”.

Mirko Loko was the best warm up to the night: he and Tristano collaborated on his last album for Cadenza, Comet Plan, on the track Timeline: the Swiss DJ drafted in the visionary pianist for this absorbing piano House jam session that gained widespread positive reviews, setting a new record and becoming a defining piece in the Electronic Music scene.

Heavy sounds in the Main Room last night: the tight, energetic Ben Sims skillfully weaved together his own distinctive blend of tough funk and hard grooves, a hammering sequence of Techno bangers that literally shook the dance floor. Opening up the night was Shifted with his experimental Industrial sounds and vibes, a machine gun mix of raw and punchy stompers.

Not the usual stuff you hear on the Balearic shores, but damn right it sounded great!

Luckily for the more soft oriented fans, the Sunset Room offered two elegant sets by both the legendary DJ Alfredo and Italian Alex Picone, who filled the airwaves with deep rhythms and soulful songs.

Some big changes are taking place next Sunday, so stay tuned for more news coming up sooner than later! Buy your tickets for Vagabundos at Space Ibiza and discover what Valentino Kanzyani, Luciano and Carl Craig, among other Dj’s, have prepared on July 12th.
