For 6 years now, we’ve e been bringing the Space vibe to Sydney. Our parties always sell out, and are considered by many in the scene as the party of the year. A date that that everyone looks forward to.The perfect way to bring in the New Year… The solid line-up that we’ve put together for this years show is as follows;

Derrick Carter , A Sydney favourite and one of the pinnacles of Chicago house music’s ‘90s wave, Derrick’s sets are rooted in house, but he freely travels outside club tastes.Seamlessly incorporating oldschool disco, soul, jazz and whatever catches his fancy… Most of the time he works in Europe, where he’s become a celebrity among dance-music aficionados… Several mix albums have appeared, including “Cosmic Disco” on MixMag and “Pagan Offering” on Pagan. Carter has also founded two labels (Blue Cucaracha and Classic). Since then pioneering innovative tracks and consequent critical acclaim, have repeatedly marked Derrick out as once of the most important players in Dance music. Carter says that due to his growing notoriety his production talents have been requested by pop-oriented acts, though he prefers to remain underground. For that we salute you Derrick!

Funk D’Void,  A DJ and producer who’s been at the forefront of the global electronic music scene since the mid-90s, needs little introduction. House music changed his life, the early Chicago sound specifically, and hearing the certain sounds during his childhood stirred something inside him. The 808 drum machine used on Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” secured his fascination with these electronic sounds – the turning point over to the Detroit techno sound was almost a spiritual moment.Forging his unique sound that would follow over the coming years – visceral, soulful and without compromise. After a string of hits over the years (“Jack Me Off”, “Bad Coffee” “Emotional Content”) plus some killer remixes for the likes of “Underworld”, “New Order” and “Kevin Saunderson”, he is probably best known for the end-of-nighter ‘Diabla’ which bridged house and techno.

Owner of Stil Vor Talent, Oliver Koletski, oozes cool factor… As Label manager, producer, DJ, and bandleader: above all this, Oliver still manages to fill the clubs around the world and make people smile, to his energetic DJ sets. Be in the best clubs of Europe such as London’s Fabric, Berlin’s Berghain, or around the rest of the world: Oliver knows how to perform and connect with his audience and delivers everytime.

Apart from being Space Ibiza & Kehakuma resident DJ in Ibiza, Javi Bora has also been the touring all over the world with the Space Ibiza brand . Finishing the season with a terrific set right before Nic Fancuilli & Carl Cox on the Terrace. A Space Ibiza closing fiesta that will go down in the history books… After an electrifying set at our last New Years Day party, we welcome back this very talented DJ and producer to this years line-up.

Joe Brunning is doing great things at the moment with a forthcoming album, on Carl Cox’s “ Intec Digital” label. The big man himself has been singing the praises “oh yes oh yes”, so who wouldn’t listen when Coxy speaks! Not only a great producer, but this guy has amazing wizardry skills behind the decks as well and def one to watch.

We Love Sundays at Space has been hugely success at the worlds No.1 club for years, we’re pleased to have “We Love” resident DJs Marco Loco & MR Doris join us for the party. As well as our own homegrown “We Love Sunday” at Space resident MO’Funk and Australian Space Ibiza NYD residents Garry Todd & Matt Cahill are back once again, plus a host of sydneys finest local Djs who always impress and bring the party.
