And it happened again. There was already 25 season starts, 25 reasons to return each year to the magical island.

The ritual that starts every year’s season in the best club in the world did not fail to what it was expected: a spectacular show in the Flight Club with a stage of over 9 feet high flanked by two impressive fan towers, six led panels -that moved behind the DJ creating a perfect color match with the lasers- and of course, a sound up to the event, specially designed by Funktion One to Space Ibiza.

The Mexican Hector warmed up the Flight Club delivering a dose of deep house, handing in the baton to Clockwork & Avatism with a live performance full of dynamism and rawness.

Along Edu Imbernon opening the Flight Club at 6 pm, The Premiere Etage was opened by Ian Blevins and the Sunset Area by Crazibiza.

DJ Mykris started in the Main Room, who was followed by the Swiss DJ Mike Candys and DJ BL3ND with its particular staging, making the audience moved from one place to another, just imitating his dancing.

In La Terraza, one of the main areas of the club, the underground sounds were developed by South London Ordnance, Harvey Mckay and the Russian beauty Nina Kraviz, creating a fantastic atmosphere in the crowd.

The Sunset stage, full of EDM and progressive sounds, danced madly to the sets of Café Olé residents House South Brothers, Ibiza Calling’s, Camilo Franco and the world-wide known for his sets at the Space Ibiza World Tour, Gelab.

While in the Flight Club, after a great set from David Moreno, Agoria drove the audience into a journey full of deep melodies, whose hit Scala was one of the key moments of the Opening Fiestaevening. It was all prepared for the return of the duo formed by Sharam and Dubfire, Deep Dish, which had created a big expectation and did not disappoint. With a long intro featuring a variety of sounds, they closed the Flight Club with a master blend rising progression.

Meanwhile in La Terraza, the resident of Kehakuma Javi Bora, maddened the audience with a set full of energy. Right after him, James Zabiela had a precise effected mixing, concluding the night Sharam with an ideal closing session.

At the Main Room, undoubtedly one of the peak moments of the day, The Chemical Brothers (DJ Set), blew up the crowd with their usual forcefulness with great moments like Don’t think of their last album, or any of the productions of their  Electric Battle Weapon series. As offered last year, the closing song was the electronic poem, Swoon. Definitely, a much appreciated ending.

After them, Basement Jaxx closed the Main Room around 7 am with a rich and powerful set influenced by the Balearic style.

The media hype was also noteworthy; two radio stations, Ibiza Sonica and Ibiza Global Radio, broadcasted from the Flight Club and La Terraza respectively from 4:00pm till 12:00am

It was also possible to enjoy the journey through live streaming provided by BE@TV>, still available on its website.

More than 15 hours of music, 35 artists spread over 6 rooms, 5 animation companies and thousands of people who enjoyed, once again, the Ibiza opening international reference.

Now, let the summer begin.
