 The private sponsorship in these times of crisis and economic cuts is becoming more than ever an important matter for sports institutions. On this matter, Space Ibiza wins the crowd. The enterprise sponsors nothing less than 27 clubs, sportsmen and sports associations with a current outlay of 211,488 Euros.
In the list there are all kind of sports. At an individual level, those who are receiving support, are canoeist Daniel Sánchez and the yachtsman Joao Pizzuto, both members of the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, also Fernando Irurre, who participated in the Titan Desert- mountain bike. With regard to Clubs, those benefited are Club PDV, Sa Graduada, Ses Salines and CD Tanit (basketball); CA Pitiús and Sa Raval (athletics); Club Jasa, Club Pádel Ibiza (paddle); Gasifred Atlético (football room); Ibiza Club San Fafael Pitiús (motorcycling) and Sant Jordi, Portmany, At. Isleño and Sant Josep (football). All this clubs are carrying Space advertising on their equipment, and in the Tanit and Gasifres case, and during this season the Eivissa Bàsquet Sa Graduada, Space Ibiza trade will be included in their names. Moreover, the discotheque collaborates with different associations such as the soccer volley, the Federación Balear de petanca, fútbol 7 de veteranos, also the sponsorship of la Vuelta a Ibiza en BTT, campeonato de España de trial, Fundación Real Mallorca, and the Trofeo Nike to the enterprise Micfootball. “I don’t think there´s another enterprise investing that much in sports as Space Ibiza. They are spending a lot of money every year sponsoring Clubs in the island. Nowadays, sponsorship activities are becoming further important due to cuts in public subsidies”, said Rafael de Siria, press officer at Space Ibiza. |
