Carl Cox new album due summer 2011 Featured

Carl Cox is pleased to announce that his much-anticipated new artist album will be released in Summer 2011, with a brand new single expected in the Spring.
In true Coxy fashion the album will showcase a mix of styles, everything from dubstep to drum & bass. “It’s about me making music for the dance floor,” says Carl. “Every track should be a winner, whether it is techno, house, breakbeat or even Latin. I’ve road-tested and remixed them all to make sure they really do fit with what’s going down on the dance floor right now.”

Recorded over the last year in his Australian studio, with Josh Abrahams & David Carbone, this will be Carl’s 4th studio album, his first since 2005’s acclaimed ‘Second Sign.’ Explaining the delay Carl admits: “It has been on the cards for quite some time, but in my defence I haven’t had time to work on it properly until recently. As soon as we finished at Space this year I threw myself into the studio to finish it.”

It should be worth the wait too, as Carl tells us: “It’s the most forward-thinking album I’ve ever made. I’ve missed making music and I’m looking forward to finally getting it out there, especially as it’s coming out on Intec.”

Intec is Carl’s recently re-launched record label, reborn in January 2010 for the digital generation. Now 10 releases in, it’s been a triumphant return with record sales thanks to exclusives from Yousef, Carlo Lio, Jim Rivers, Jon Rundell and Umek.

The new album will be released through Intec Digital in Summer 2011. A single (title TBC) will precede it in the Spring. Carl is also planning a world tour to coincide with the album.
