Thousands of people celebrated the 25 years of Space Ibiza, in an emotional and massive event without precedent.

A quarter century is not met every day and it showed in this amazing spectacle of the grand, a ceremony organized by Space Ibiza. As with all important dates, the best club in the world set up its legendary outdoor stage, ‘Open Air Arena’. A futuristic dome with huge LED screens accompanied the artists who gathered in the area to honor the legendary parties in the light of day.

The best electronic music merged with a spectacular light show and entertainment. There was even room for experimentation mixing flamenco with the strength of Techno obtaining an artistic musical gamble never seen before. The Ballet Flamenco directed by Antonio Márquez, first male member of the National Ballet, left attendees thrilled with a perfect synchronization between the tempo of songs and precise footwork that were added to the musical composition.

The 25th anniversary of Space began at 4:30pm with Jason Bye, resident of We Love and continued with a select representation of artists from the international electronic scene. Shaun Reeves, a member of Visionquest, the Tiefschwarz brothers, Layo & Bushwacka! reuniting, Annie Mac, the essential Erick Morillo and Detroit Techno by Carl Craig were in charge of welcoming midnight in Ibiza.

The most exciting moment came when Pepe Rosello, founder of Space Ibiza, took the stage to thank everyone for 25 years of success. "Thanks to each of you for being part of the history of Space. Today we celebrate 25 years together. Congratulations!" After those heartfelt words, he sang the traditional 'Happy Birthday' with the whole audience singing in chorus were holding sparklers while forming an immense tide of light. From Camilo’s dynamism to the virtuosity of Agoria. The French artist completely transformed the Main Room with a groundbreaking set that convinced the clubbers.  Following, Russian’s own Techno reference, Nina Kraviz, who in her third visit of the season at the Platja d’En Bossa club, faced for the first time the demanding public of the Main Room. Her great work on the decks and flirtatious dances, seduced the audience like nobody else.

2manydjs were the surprise of the night. David and Stephen Dewaele, brothers from Soulwax, increased the euphoria of the audience with their amazing set that merged with its myriad styles and one of a kind mixing. From Techno to rock to pop and not forgetting the Funky. The creators of this hit EP As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt. 1 revolutionized Space Ibiza as they would after Fatboy Slim.

The English musician visited the Main Room as part of his tour to promote his latest album Bem Brasil, inspired by the country of samba. In addition to his new tracksFatboy Slim transmitted his positive energy to the public with the legendary Praise You, Funk Soul Brothers and Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat.

The Terrace also had its share of quality music. As in every great occasion, it was filled to the brim. This area has experienced a lot what’s left… on a night where we could enjoy the resident of KehakumaJavi Bora, a taste of Nick Curly, the amazing ability of Jimmy Edgar, the Deep House of Tensnake and the B2B session between Skream and Route 94, and the man that closed the room, Erick Morillo.

The Colombian, a classic of the 25 year history of the club, enjoyed mixing a four hour set where he gave free rein to his creativity and versatility. Memorable moments are when he went retro playing songs like Jazz It Up a remix of U2.
